Punjab Weather Update: Rain brings drop in temperature, skies to remain clear today

The temperature has dropped significantly after the rain in the last 24 hours in Punjab. According to the Meteorological Center, the average maximum temperature has dropped by 4.7 degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours. However, it is 1.8 degrees Celsius below normal in the state. The highest maximum temperature in the state was recorded at 25.1 degrees Celsius in Bathinda.

The weather is expected to remain clear today. According to the Meteorological Center, most of the districts of Punjab received rain in the last 24 hours. 36 mm rain was recorded in Amritsar, 6 in Ludhiana, 9 in Patiala, 11 in Faridkot, 15.5 in Hoshiarpur, 5.3 mm in SBS Nagar.

At the same time, no alert was issued by the Meteorological Department today. After which there is a possibility of a slight increase in temperature today.

According to the Meteorological Center, a new western disturbance is becoming active from February 24. Its effect will be seen in the hilly areas of Himachal. From 24 February, there may be rain as well as snowfall in the hilly areas.

It will have its effect in the plains on 26 February. There are chances of rain again in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh on 26 February.
