Acting on forward-backward linkages in a follow-up action, Counter Intelligence, Amritsar recovers 2 Kg of Heroin concealed near a canal. The recovery was made in Village Boparai Baj Singh, based on a disclosure statement made by accused Harmandeep Singh. The information has been shared by Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav.

Earlier, on February 19, CI Team recovered 10 Kg of heroin while later 3 Kg of heroin was recovered after the accused statement. So far, the Total heroin recovered in this case now stands at 15 Kg.
Further investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend other associates involved in the network.
DGP Yadav assured that Punjab Police remains steadfast in its commitment to dismantling drug syndicates and ensuring a safer Punjab.
