Lohia Khas Numberdar shoots himself, four named in suicide note

The deceased has been identified as numberdar 76 Jagtar Singh, son of Mahendra Singh.

Jalandhar: A shooting incident has come to light in the village Karha Ram Singh of police station Lohia Khas. According to the information received, the numberdar committed suicide by shooting himself with his licensed gun in the bathroom. In this incident, the numberdar’s face was badly disfigured after being shot near the mouth. The family members of the deceased are in deep shock due to this sudden incident. The deceased has been identified as numberdar 76 Jagtar Singh, son of Mahendra Singh.

As soon as the information was received, Shahkot DSP Onkar Singh Brar and Lohia Khas police station in-charge Jaipal reached the spot with a police party and seized the gun used in the crime. Along with this, the body has been sent to Civil Hospital Nakodar for postmortem.
Hardev Singh, son of the deceased Jagtar Singh, told the police in his statement that his father went to the bathroom attached to the bedroom and shot himself. The police station in-charge said that a case has been registered on the statement of the deceased’s son Hardev Singh. The police are engaged in the investigation.

As soon as the information about the incident was received, DSP Onkar Singh and other police officers also reached the spot. The police are investigating old cases and cases. In his suicide note, the deceased Jagtar Singh has held four people responsible for his death, out of which three are from his own village while one is from another village. Sub-Inspector Sukhwinder Singh said that in the suicide note, the deceased Jagtar Singh has accused the above four people of constantly harassing him.
