Shimla: The decision on the purchase of new buses will be taken in the meeting of the Board of Directors of Himachal Path Parivahan Nigam (HRTC). The meeting of the Board of Directors is being held at Hotel Holiday Home under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri. Decisions will be taken on other proposals including the purchase of new buses.
The newly appointed Vice President of Transport Corporation Ajay Verma is also present in the meeting for the first time. Additional Chief Secretary RD Nazim is also present. A decision will be taken in the meeting on the purchase of 24 new super luxury, 250 diesel buses, 327 e-buses and 100 tempo travellers.
HRTC Managing Director Rohan Chand Thakur is going to Delhi on central deputation. Rohan Thakur is participating in this meeting as Member Secretary. The corporation has started the process to purchase 24 new super luxury buses.
The bus purchase process will start after the approval of the Board of Directors. The corporation has also decided to purchase 250 diesel buses. A decision will be taken in the Board of Directors meeting on adding new provisions to the tender conditions for the purchase of these buses.
