After medicines, parachute fabric will also be prepared in Baddi, the industrial area of Himachal Pradesh. Himachal’s first technical textile plant is being set up here. For this, Baddi’s famous thread mill Vardhman Company has expanded itself. This plant, which will start in September, will provide employment to more than 800 people. Track suit and jacket fabric will also be prepared in the plant. Till now, such a plant in the country is only in Gujarat.
100% polyester and nylon fabric will be prepared in this plant. Initially, the production limit has been kept at 15 lakh meters per month. Till now, mixed fabric and thread of plastic and nylon along with cotton were prepared in Baddi. The fabric prepared here will be supplied to famous companies manufacturing clothes like Adidas, Puma, Nike, Decaplon etc. The company plans to double its production as soon as the production starts. Vardhman is expanding its company and setting up a new plant in Baddi in the name of Technical Textile Division. Jackets, track suits and parachute fabric including parachutes will be manufactured here. This is the first plant in Himachal.
