Air services to begin from Ambala after elections; flights to run on Srinagar route

Ambala: Air services are now going to start from the airport built in Ambala district of Haryana. Domestic flights will be started from here after the municipal elections are over. Domestic airport ready under UDAN 4.2

The domestic airport built in Ambala Cantt is ready under UDAN 4.2. RCS Route Flying Airlines has been entrusted with the responsibility to fly from Ambala to Srinagar from here. Soon the planes will be ready to fly on this route. Bids have been invited for the routes fixed for this domestic airport, while Jet Wings Airlines has made a proposal for this.

25 crores sanctioned for development

Recently, an amount of Rs 25 crore has been sanctioned for the development of the domestic airport. For the Ambala Cantt domestic airport, the Ambala-Srinagar-Ambala route has been finalised. For this, RCS has approved the route for flying airlines.

Jet Wings Airlines gave the offer

Flights are to be started from the airport for other routes including Ambala-Lucknow-Ambala. Currently Jet Wings Airlines has given its proposal, other airlines will also give proposals. Only after this it will be finalized which airlines will be allowed to fly from here for other routes.
