Chandigarh: The Punjab government has dismissed Naib Tehsildar Varinderpal Singh Dhoot from service. He was accused of illegally transferring 10,365 Kanal 19 Marla of Shamlat land.
Dismissal Order
An investigation led by retired judge B.R. Bansal confirmed that Dhoot had benefited private individuals, disregarding orders from the Supreme Court and the government. Additional Chief Secretary (Revenue) Anurag Verma issued the termination order on February 24, 2025, citing violations of government rules and directives.
