Gurugram: The election campaign for the municipal elections in Gurugram has now reached its final stage. BJP and Congress have already fielded their star campaigners and big faces here. Chief Minister Nayab Saini has conducted a road show in favour of BJP candidate Rajrani Malhotra, while former Congress Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda held a meeting in Gurugram releasing the party’s manifesto.

On Thursday too, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and former CM of the state and Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar will hold public meetings at different places in support of Gurugram and Manesar Municipal Corporation candidates. BJP leaders have claimed to make their mayor for the third consecutive time.

Delhi’s CM may come to campaign

Local BJP leaders have requested the newly appointed Chief Minister of Delhi, Rekha Gupta, to come to campaign for the municipal elections. She belongs originally from Haryana. However, the schedule for the arrival of the Chief Minister of Delhi has not been made yet.

Everyone has more focus on Manesar

A triangular contest is being witnessed in the first election after Manesar became a municipal corporation. All the four candidates from here woman candidate Dr. Indrajit is giving a tough fight to BJP’s Sundarlal Yadav and Congress’ Neeraj Yadav. All the three candidates belong to the Ahir community and the number of Ahirs is the highest here. All the three candidates are working hard for victory. Chief Minister Nayab Saini has already held an election rally here.

Top leaders of BJP and Congress are campaigning

BJP has entrusted the responsibility of making its candidates win in the urban body elections to ministers and all the big leaders. Apart from the Chief Minister, state president Mohanlal Baroli, Rao Narbir Singh, Aarti Rao, Gaurav Gautam and other big leaders are holding public meetings. On behalf of Congress too, former Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda, former ministers, party officials have been entrusted with the task of making the candidates win the urban body elections.
