Heavy rains are causing havoc in Himachal Pradesh. After heavy rains in Akhada Bazaar of Kullu this morning, water entered people's homes and hotels.

Shimla: A cloudburst occurred in Kangra’s Chhota Bhangal in the afternoon. The flood that followed destroyed the farmers’ land. Glaciers slipped at two places in Bharmour and Kinnaur.

After heavy rain in the morning in Akhada Bazaar of Kullu, water entered people’s houses and hotels. Due to flooding in the drain, many vehicles got buried under the debris. Landslides caused a lot of damage in different areas of the state.

After heavy rains, the reservoir of Pandoh Dam in Mandi has been filled with water. In view of this, the gate of Pandoh Dam has been opened. DC Mandi Apoorv Devgan has issued an advisory not to go to the banks of Beas river below Pandoh Dam.

Heavy rains are causing havoc in Himachal Pradesh. After heavy rains in Akhada Bazaar of Kullu this morning, water entered people’s homes and hotels. Due to flooding in the drain, many vehicles got buried under the debris. Landslides are occurring on roads at various places in the state.

On the other hand, a private bus was hit by a landslide on the Chandigarh-Manali National Highway this morning. After the hill fell, the bus overturned and stopped on the roadside wall. 4 people including the driver and conductor were injured in this. The injured are being treated at Nagwain Hospital.

According to the information, when a private bus going from Manali to Pathankot reached near Banala at 6.50 am on Friday, there was a sudden landslide from the hill. Driver Jaswant Singh, conductor Ankush and two other passengers were injured in this. If the bus had fallen down from the wall, a major accident could have happened here.

Four lanes closed for traffic

The bus overturned on the side of the road after a huge amount of debris fell from the hill. Fortunately, the bus did not fall into the ravine below. After the landslide, the Chandigarh-Manali National Highway was closed for traffic.

SP Sakshi Verma said that this accident happened in the morning. Police is investigating the matter. The government has appealed to people to be cautious in view of the warning of heavy rain.

NH-5 and Chamba-Holi road also closed due to heavy rain

Let us tell you that it has been raining intermittently in the state for the last three days. But since last night, heavy rains have been continuing in most areas of the state. Due to this, many drains have overflowed. Roads have been closed due to landslides.

National Highway 5 connecting Shimla to Kinnaur district has also been closed after a landslide near Nigulsari. There has also been a massive landslide on the Holi-Chamba road. Due to this the road has been closed near Garola.
