First meeting of High Power Committee held in Punjab

Chandigarh: The Punjab government is now in action mode against drugs. Bulldozer action is going on on the properties of drug smugglers. On Thursday, a high power committee of 5 ministers was formed for monitoring, whose first meeting was held in Chandigarh today.

In which DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav and senior officials of the Health Department also participated. Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema has been made the chairman of this committee. While 4 other ministers have been made members of the committee.

Ministers and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders Aman Arora, Balbir Singh, Laljit Singh Bhullar and Taranpreet Sondh are members of the committee.

Aman Arora invited all parties to come together against drug abuse

After the meeting, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) state president Aman Arora has invited all the parties of the state to come together and fight against drug abuse. Aman Arora said that everyone’s cooperation is necessary in the campaign against drug abuse. AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal and CM Bhagwant Mann want all parties, social organizations and people to come together in the fight against drug abuse.

He appealed to the people that soon the chain of drug addiction will start breaking. After which the youth trapped in drug addiction will have to face difficulties. Therefore, people should take the youth trapped in drug addiction to government hospitals, rehabilitation centers and de-addiction centers.

All arrangements have been made by the Punjab government there. He said that this campaign is not time-bound. The war will continue until drug abuse is eradicated. Therefore, drug smugglers are warned to either stop their business or leave the state.

Discussion on the next strategy

Punjab Police has come into action against drugs. Aman Arora said that wherever inputs are being received in the entire state, search operations are being conducted. This is just the beginning. This movement will continue in the future as well. At the same time, drug smugglers will not be spared and action will also be taken against those who support them.

Soon a plan will be made to present the chargesheet against the drug smugglers within the time limit so that they can be given strict punishment as soon as possible.

Recently, a meeting was held with police officers from across the state

This was the first meeting of this committee formed against drug abuse. Earlier, a meeting of senior police officers along with commissioners and SSPs of the entire state was called under the leadership of CM Bhagwant Mann yesterday. In which the strategy was discussed, in which the government is claiming to end drug abuse from the state in the next three months. At the same time, in today’s meeting also decisions have been taken on the next action under this strategy.
