Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will hold final discussions on the budget today. For this, he has called a two-day meeting of his cabinet ministers and party MLAs. CM Saini will include the suggestions received in this meeting in his budget. Haryana’s budget is expected to be presented on March 13, a day before Holi. However, its decision will be taken in the BAC meeting only.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will present the first budget as Finance Minister in his second term. The tentative schedule of the budget session of the Haryana Assembly has been released by the government.
Rs 1.95 lakh crore budget expected
Haryana’s budget for the next financial year could be Rs 1.95 lakh crore. Since the Chief Minister is also the Finance Minister, the next year’s budget is being prepared on his instructions. Assembly Speaker Harvinder Kalyan and Deputy Speaker Dr. Krishna Middha have also been called for this discussion in the meeting called regarding the budget. CM Saini has not only invited everyone including the ministers by sending them personal letters.

The budget session will begin with the Governor’s address on March 7. The duration of the session will be from March 7 to March 25. There are 9 sittings in it. There are 10 holidays in the 19-day schedule. The final decision on the duration of the budget session will be taken in the Business Advisory (BAC) meeting.

On the first day, on March 7, the Governor’s address will be delivered at 11 am. After this, there will be a holiday on March 8 and 9. Then the address will be discussed from March 10 to 12. At the same time, the second installment of supplementary estimates will be presented on March 12.
After this, on March 13, CM Saini will present the budget for 2025-26. After this, holidays have been shown from 14 to 16 March in the schedule. These holidays will be due to Holi. After this, budget estimates will be discussed on 17 and 18. Then there will be no meeting from 19 to 21.
CM will respond to the discussion on March 24
There will be Saturday and Sunday holidays on 22 and 23 March. After this, on 24 March, the CM will respond to the discussion on the budget estimates. Voting on the budget will take place on the same day. Legislative work will be done on the last day on 25 and the session will end.
