Ravneet Singh Bittu condemns attack on two sikh brothers in Uttarkhand’s Rishikesh

Ludhiana: Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu on Monday condemned the attack on Two sikh brothers in Rishikesh and said that he has spoken to Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami regarding the attack on two sikh brothers in Rishikesh. In a post on X,  Minister Ranveer Singh Bittu shared, “Spoke with the Uttarakhand CM @pushkardhami.

Ludhiana: Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu on Monday condemned the attack on Two sikh brothers in Rishikesh and said that he has spoken to Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami regarding the attack on two sikh brothers in Rishikesh.

In a post on X,  Minister Ranveer Singh Bittu shared, “Spoke with the Uttarakhand CM @pushkardhami ji regarding the recent attack on two sikh brothers in Rishikesh. He assured investigation at the highest level and full justice for the victims, emphasizing safety and security of minorities will be ensured, with zero tolerance for violence.”

The incident has also been condemned by the  Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has strongly condemned the incident of mob attack on a Sikh businessman and damage to his showroom in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand.

The committee has demanded the Uttarakhand government and police to take strict action against the culprits. For this, the SGPC has also sent an email to the Uttarakhand government and the Chief Minister.

Sardar Kulwant Singh Mann, Chief Secretary of Shiromani Committee, has sent an e-mail to Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Uttarakhand Police regarding this incident and demanded immediate strict action against the culprits.

He said that the video of this incident has gone viral on social media, in which it is clearly visible that the mob beat up the Sikh businessman, pelted stones at his showroom and caused heavy damage to it. Apart from this, the businessman’s turban was removed and his hair was disrespected, which hurts the religious sentiments of the Sikh community.

Demand to add sections for hurting religious sentiments

Sardar Kulwant Singh Mann has demanded from Uttarakhand Police that sections of hurting religious sentiments be added in the FIR so that the accused can get severe punishment. The victim Sikh businessman told the Shiromani Committee that the local Congress councilor is behind this attack, who has been harassing Sikh businessmen for a long time.

The Chief Secretary of the Shiromani Committee has requested the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand to have the case investigated impartially and identify the culprits and arrest them as soon as possible.

Earlier, yesterday two sikh brothers running a  showroom in Uttarkhand’s Reshikesh were attacked by a mob which results injury to both the brothers and demage to the showroom. The mob not only physically assulted the sikh traders but also pelted stones at the showroom, causing significant demage to it.
