Chandigarh: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Daljit Singh Cheema on Wednesday raised a question over Punjab government and said that what kind of ‘Vipassana’ is this that the entire Punjab administration is involved in serving the former CM of Delhi who does not even have a constitutional position anymore?.
Along with his wife Sunita Kejriwal, Kejriwal began a 10-day vipassana session in Hoshiarpur, Punjab on Tuesday. His visit comes ahead of the upcoming elections, with AAP focusing on strengthening its presence in the state.
Speaking with the media Daljit Singh Cheema said “A co-worker of our party was asking what happened that so many police have gone to the jungle today that all the animals and the birds are terrified. Later, I came to know that an ‘Aam Aadmi’ had gone to the jungle for ‘Vipassana’… What kind of a ‘Vipassana’ is this that the entire Punjab administration is involved in serving the former CM of Delhi who does not even have a constitutional position anymore?”
Earlier today, Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa criticized AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal over alleged misuse of public funds, questioning the extensive security and arrangements during his visit to Punjab.
“There are cars worth more than Rs 2 crores, fire brigades, ambulances, and more than 100 commandos in his (Arvind Kejriwal’s) convoy for his ‘Vipassana. ‘ What type of a common man is he?… Arvind Kejriwal is wasting Punjab’s money. His purpose is not ‘Vipassana’ but to fulfil his dream of becoming a CM. The people of Ludhiana will never let Sanjeev Arora (candidate from Ludhiana West) win,’ he said.
