A case of theft has come to light in a house in New Rasila Nagar, Jalandhar. The police control room was informed about the theft incident, after which the police officers reached the house to inspect the spot. According to the same police officer, the thieves broke the door of the house and committed theft. But according to the family members, the theft in the house was done by drug addicts.
A family member of the house, Kulwant Kaur, said that there was a wedding function in the house and her own daughter had gone to Bathinda to distribute wedding cards. When she returned home she saw that the household goods were scattered here and there. Kulwant Kaur said that a 12-gram gold chain, a 5-gram gold ring, a 4-gram nose ring and silver ornaments along with Rs 25,000 in cash were missing from their house. Kulwant Kaur said that her daughter’s wedding is on the 21st but before that, there was a theft in her house.
A young man from the neighborhood said that there is a wedding atmosphere in the house, but all the family members are sad due to the theft in the house.
Sub Inspector Gurnam Singh said that he had received information from the control room that there was a theft in New Rasila Nagar and he immediately reached the spot and took stock of the situation. According to him, the thieves have broken the doors of the house and have also stolen household goods. A complaint has been registered and further legal action will be taken.
