Car overturns on highway in Sonipat: Young man dies, 2 injured

A Safari car overturned when the driver dozed off near village Chidana on Rohtak-Panipat National Highway-709 in Gohana. In the accident, a young man from Adarsh ​​Nagar in Gohana died and the newly married brother was seriously injured and his newly married sister-in-law also got injured. They were returning from Yamunanagar after marriage after performing the ritual of Pagphera. Gohana Sadar police station is investigating the matter.

Ankit, the elder son of Surendra Mann, a resident of Adarsh ​​Nagar in Gohana, was married to a girl from Yamunanagar on March 3. Ankit along with his younger brother Ravi Mann had gone to his wife’s maternal home on Wednesday to perform the ritual of Pagphera. All three were returning to Gohana in a Safari car. At around 11 pm, when they reached near village Chidana on Rohtak-Panipat national highway, Ravi Maan, who was driving the car, suddenly fell asleep.

The car went out of control and overturned on the highway. Arun Kumar, a resident of Adarsh ​​Nagar, Gohana, was coming from Panipat to Gohana. Suddenly, he saw the overturned car. After this, he called the neighbors and told them that Ravi and Ankit were seriously injured in the accident. The bride had minor injuries. Both the brothers were taken to the hospital for treatment, where the doctor declared Ravi dead.
