Possibility of rain-snowfall in Himachal for 5 days from tomorrow

Shimla: The weather will be bad in Himachal Pradesh from tomorrow. According to the Meteorological Department, Western Disturbance is becoming active in the state. Its effect will be visible for the next 5 days i.e. till March 13. There is a possibility of rain and snowfall in the high areas of Chamba, Kinnaur and Lahaul Spiti district on March 9. The weather will be clear in other areas. The weather will be bad in the high and medium altitude areas of the state on March 10 and 11.

Similarly, Western Disturbance will be more active on 12 and 13 March. In view of this, there is a forecast of good rain and snowfall in the entire state for 2 days. After the weather deteriorates, cold will return to the mountains and the temperature will decrease by 4 to 5 degrees.

Temperatures are lower than normal after last week’s rain

On the other hand, after heavy rain and snowfall in the state last week, the maximum and minimum temperatures are already below normal. The average minimum temperature of the state is 1.6 degrees below normal and the maximum temperature is also 0.2 degrees below normal. The minimum temperature of Kukumsari is -8.5 degrees and the minimum temperature of Keylong is -7.5 degrees.

So far in March, there has been 89% more rainfall than normal

So far in the month of March, the state has received 89 percent more rain than normal. According to the Meteorological Department, the normal rainfall in the state is 26.5 mm from March 1 to March 7, but this time 50.2 mm of rain has been received.
