The temperature of Punjab remains hotter than normal. Such a change in temperature is being seen due to bright sunshine in the past few days and the western disturbance not being active. In the coming days, the day temperature will cross 30 degrees.
At the same time, the western disturbance has become active from yesterday, but its effect will be seen in the plains from March 12. According to the Meteorological Center, there has been no change in the average maximum temperature in the state, although it remains 2.2 degrees Celsius higher than normal.
The highest maximum temperature in the state was recorded at 30.6 degrees Celsius, which was recorded in Abohar. At the same time, there will not be much change in the weather even today. Most areas of Punjab will be sunny, but areas adjoining Himachal Pradesh and Amritsar will remain cloudy in the morning.
The effect of western disturbance has started showing on the high hills. There are chances of rain and snowfall till March 15. If there is rain and snowfall, then the temperature in the plains may drop slightly.
But there is a possibility of rain in the plains of Punjab from March 12. During this time hailstorms may occur and mustard crops may get damaged.
