Vigilance has registered another FIR in the paper leak case that took place during the dissolved Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission. The written examination of JOA (IT) postcode 965 was to be held on 25 December 2022, but the first FIR was registered two days before the examination when the paper was leaked. In this case, the investigating agency has registered the 16th FIR after irregularities were found in Junior Engineer (Civil) under postcode 826. However, it is not clear whether the paper was leaked in the recruitment or there was some tampering in the OMR sheet.
Due to the assembly session, no statement has come from the investigating agency. It is also not clear whether any arrest has been made in the case, how many accused have been named in it. The recruitment process of Junior Engineer (Civil) under post code 826 has been completed in the year 2021. The candidates who have passed are also giving their services in the department.
Vigilance has been investigating the paper leak case for two years. Now the investigating agency has found concrete evidence of irregularities in the recruitment examination as well. The dissolved commission had invited applications in September 2020 to fill 39 posts of junior engineer under post code 826. 10529 candidates had applied for 39 posts. Only 9301 applications were found to be correct. 5632 candidates participated in the written examination held on 11 April 2021. Out of 5632 candidates, only 121 were able to pass the written examination. The commission had conducted the written examination on 11 April 2021 and the evaluation examination of fifteen marks on 8 September 2021.
Nearly three dozen people have been named in the 16 FIRs registered in the paper leak case. In most of the cases, there are names of many candidates including the secretary, senior assistant, peon and driver of the commission. In such a situation, there is a possibility of naming employees and candidates in the latest FIR. The game of paper leak was going on for a long time
The special thing is that the result of this recruitment was declared in the year 2021 while the recruitment process had started in 2020 itself. In such a situation, there is a wide possibility that this game of paper leak was going on for a long time. The investigating agency has already arrested the accused in many such recruitment examinations. Now a similar possibility is being expressed in the case as well. In the case, a challan has been presented in the court in the first FIR of JOA (IT) post code 965 paper leak.
