Widows and other sections of the society will soon get social security pension in Himachal Pradesh. This information was given by Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri in the Himachal Pradesh Assembly. Agnihotri said that the budget of the MLA Area Development Fund has also been released. He said in the House that Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur is always late.
Earlier also he raised the issue of not giving pension in HRTC, whereas it was given. The condition of the state is not as the opposition is showing. Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur first raised the issue of a question of order in the House after the Question Hour in the Assembly. He said that the proposals sent by the MLAs to the Deputy Commissioners are being shown approved but the budget of the MLA Area Development Fund is not going forward.
Jairam said that no amount of more than Rs 10 thousand is being sent from the treasuries. The financial year is about to end. If this budget is not spent then will it lapse? In the true sense, it is in the hands of the MLA that he can send the approved budget for development. Approval is being shown, but the money is not going. Jairam Thakur said – We can understand that the financial condition of the state is bad. The government should order that this budget be released from the treasuries immediately.
On the other hand, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said that he cannot ignore any of Jairam Thakur’s requests. He tells him that the treasury has released the MLA area development fund. The Leader of Opposition is a senior leader and has also been the Chief Minister and Finance Minister in the past. He said that what happens is that the Leader of Opposition gets a few hours late in getting the information. Later he said that pension was not given in HRTC. It was given. This matter was also brought to notice in the meeting of the Legislature Party. The Chief Secretary has confirmed it. This budget has been released. Pension or assistance amount of widows and Sahara Yojana has been given. Rs 360 crore of social security pension has been released.
