The Punjab government has given great news to the industrialists on the occasion of Holi. The government has issued notification of both OTS schemes for industrial plots. Now people will be able to get their thirty to forty years old plots registered in their name.
This information was given by Punjab Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Saundh. He said that industrialists will no longer have to run around government offices. Officials will come to them. They will be able to complete their proceedings by making a demand draft.
Plot owners were struggling for forty years
The government approved it in the cabinet on March 3. The government has brought this scheme at a time when only two years are left for the elections. While by-election is fixed on Ludhiana West seat. In such a situation, the government is trying to please the industrialists of Ludhiana as well as the entire state.
This scheme will be applicable on PSI, ECI and plots. The owners of these plots were struggling for about forty years. But when the Punjab government held an industrial meeting in the last three years, this issue was raised seriously in it, after which it was approved.
This is how both OTS schemes will work
The first OTS is related to land enhancement, under which industrialists will have to pay their dues with 8% simple interest. Compounding interest and penalty have been waived in this scheme. The second scheme is the OTS scheme linked to the principal amount, in which also 8% interest will have to be paid. Two help counters will also be set up for the convenience of the people.
Both schemes will be in force till December 31, and it is expected that at least 4,000 people will benefit from it. Punjab Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sondh gave this information after the cabinet meeting. He said that a new industrial policy will be brought soon. The government is trying to make it better than other states of the country.
