Chandigarh: Rain has started in 9 districts of Haryana. It is drizzling in Panipat, Hisar, Bhiwani, Tohana of Fatehabad, Uchana of Jind, Nuh, Mahendragarh, Charkhi Dadri and Jhajjar.
Fatehabad city and Jhajjar are cloudy and there is every possibility of rain. The Meteorological Department had also issued a yellow alert, predicting rain on Holi. The temperature was continuously increasing by one degree for the last several days. On Thursday, the maximum temperature in Palwal was recorded at 36 degrees. This was the highest temperature of this season.
On the other hand, the temperature has been recorded above 30 degrees in 15 districts of Haryana. A day earlier on Thursday, Faridabad, Rewari, Charkhi Dadri and Nuh witnessed hailstorm along with rain. A drop in temperature has been recorded in the adjoining areas. Crops like vegetables, gram and mustard have been damaged due to the hailstorm.
According to the Meteorological Department, after March 16, the districts of Haryana bordering Rajasthan may face storms along with strong winds.
Hailstorm had occurred in Haryana 21 days ago on 28 March. Rain started at around 8 pm in Panipat, Karnal, Sonipat, Kurukshetra, along with GT Road belt, Jind, Fatehabad and Kaithal. Hailstorm also occurred at many places in Panipat, Karnal, Fatehabad and Kaithal. The wheat and mustard crops were severely damaged due to the hailstorm.
