The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert today in 13 districts of Punjab. These include Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Rupnagar, SAS Nagar, Fatehgarh Sahib, Fazilka, Muktsar and Mansa. It is estimated that apart from rain, winds can also blow at a speed of 30 to 40 km in these places today.
