Light snowfall has started in the higher regions of Himachal Pradesh and rain in the lower areas. During the last 24 hours, 13 cm of fresh snow has fallen in Gondla of Lahaul Spiti, 6 cm in Kukumsari and 4 cm in Keylong.
At the same time, 7.0 mm (MM) rain has been recorded in Manali, 2.6 MM in Sangla, 2.3 MM in Salooni, 1.2 MM in Jot, 1.0 MM in Dalhousie, 0.5 MM in Bhuntar. Due to this, the cold of the night has returned again in the higher areas.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of more rain and snowfall today and tomorrow. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain and snowfall in all the 10 districts except Lahaul Spiti and Kinnaur.
During this time, there will be good snowfall in the higher areas and good rain in the plains and medium altitude areas. Thunderstorms and storms have also been warned at some places.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain and snowfall in Kangra, Mandi, Shimla, Solan, Sirmaur, Kinnaur and Lahaul Spiti districts on March 16. There may be light drizzle in some areas on March 17. The weather is forecast to be clear across the state from March 18.
