Mumbai: The much-anticipated trailer of Sikandar, starring Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna, has taken the internet by storm since its release. The trailer has been met with overwhelming appreciation, quickly becoming one of the most-viewed trailers for a Salman Khan film. Adding to the excitement, fans were surprised to hear the iconic track “Lag Ja Gale” being rendered in the film by Lulia Vantur. This classic melody, originally sung by Lata Mangeshkar, promises to strike an emotional chord with audiences once again.
Interestingly, the decision to have Lulia Vantur sing “Lag Ja Gale” for Sikandar was made by producer Sajid Nadiadwala. He had heard Iulia’s rendition of the song two years ago and was captivated by her voice. When the opportunity arose during the making of Sikandar, Nadiadwala felt her voice would perfectly suit the emotional sequence where Rashmika Mandanna’s character sings the timeless tune for Salman Khan. His decision to use Iulia’s version has added a unique flavour to the film, heightening anticipation for the movie’s release.
