Vigilance and Food Safety Officer conducts surprise check in food factory

During the check, Food Safety Officer Faridkot issued 03 challans under the Food Safety Act and 04 samples of pickles and marmalade being prepared in the factory were filled.

On the directions of Nageshwar Rao IPS Chief Director Vigilance Bureau Punjab and Manjit Singh Senior Superintendent of Police Vigilance Bureau, Ferozepur, a team of Kewal Krishna Deputy Superintendent of Police Vigilance Bureau Unit Faridkot accompanied by Harvinder Singh Food Safety Officer, Office of Civil Surgeon, Faridkot conducted a surprise check at Gera Food Products Kotkapura Road Faridkot in the presence of the factory owner.

During the check, Food Safety Officer Faridkot issued 03 challans under the Food Safety Act and 04 samples of pickles and marmalade being prepared in the factory were filled.

Harvinder Singh Food Safety Officer said that these samples will be submitted to Food and Drugs Lab Kharar for inspection.

If any adulteration or deficiency is found in the inspection report, legal action will be taken.
