Between March 3 and 9, around 70 new dengue cases were reported, representing a 12.9% increase from the 62 cases recorded during the previous week. The newspaper Prothom Alo highlighted a significant rise in dengue cases in November 2024.

Public health experts, physicians, and entomologists have expressed concerns that effective preventive measures against dengue are insufficient, and the healthcare system has not been adequately revised to address the issue.
