ACB nabbed traffic police head constable for taking Rs. 8,000 bribe

In Faridabad, Haryana, the Anti-Corruption Bureau team has arrested Traffic Police Head Constable Ranveer while accepting a bribe of 8 thousand rupees.

Faridabad: In Faridabad, Haryana, the Anti-Corruption Bureau team has arrested Traffic Police Head Constable Ranveer while accepting a bribe of 8 thousand rupees. The accused head constable is a resident of Harfali village in Palwal. The accused head constable was caught at JCB Chowk on National Highway No. 19.

Ajit Singh, a resident of village Badroula, had given a complaint to Anti Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Faridabad that he supplies water through tankers in the city. Recently he has bought a new tanker for water supply. He said that Head Constable Ranveer of Traffic Police at JCB Chowk is demanding a bribe of Rs 8000 by threatening to impound his water tanker.

ACB caught him red-handed

After receiving a complaint from Ajit Singh, the Anti-Corruption Bureau team made a plan and on Monday evening, after applying a chemical on the notes, gave them to Ajit Singh. When Ajit Singh reached JCB Chowk on National Highway No. 19 with a water tanker.

Traffic police head constable Ranveer demanded money. As soon as Ajit Singh gave the chemical-coated notes to head constable Ranveer, the ACB team caught Ranveer on the spot. The ACB team will produce traffic police head constable Ranveer, who took the bribe, in court today.
