An investigation by the NIA has provided details regarding the bombings involving 20 cars outside the Red Fort, which have resulted in 13 deaths and over 25 injuries. The plan resembled the attack that occurred in Mumbai on November 26, 2008. Jaish-e-Mohammed operatives were responsible for the incident, intending to cause significant disruption in the NCR. Earlier this year, attempts were made to conduct explosions at the Red Fort and other locations on January 26, Republic Day, and later on Diwali, but these attempts did not come to fruition. The operatives intended to execute coordinated blasts in areas such as India Gate, Sarojini Nagar Market, Lajpat Nagar Market, and Sadar Bazaar.

The NIA investigation uncovered that Dr. Umar and several other doctors orchestrated the attacks, with reconnaissance of Delhi targets ongoing for months. Evidence from Dr. Umar’s mobile data and the raid on a Faridabad gunpowder factory, which recovered 2,900 kg of explosives, revealed the scale of preparations. The attackers, influenced from abroad, acted prematurely after the factory raid. The central government has responded, with the Prime Minister assuring justice for the victims and emphasizing the grave threat posed by this new ‘White-Collar Module’ of terrorists.

The NIA is now monitoring several clerics and doctors. The fact that all the terrorists included educated doctors is a shocking and dangerous fact. This means that some misguided, educated individuals who live and drink in this country are also betraying their own lives, selling their souls, and plotting to destroy the nation. The credibility of the schools from which these educated white-collar terrorists emerged has also become questionable. This has made it difficult for the NIA to uncover the truth through a thorough investigation.

It’s difficult, but certainly not impossible. The entire country is shocked that the terrorists’ emboldened efforts are so high that they openly set up a gunpowder factory and warehouse in Faridabad. They had planned a 26/11-style attack on key locations in Delhi. Now, the responsibility of the country’s responsible administration and investigating officers has increased significantly to find the terrorists, those who are white-collar and dancing to the tune of the foreign enemy. Therefore, the methods of pursuing and investigating terrorists must change. A campaign should be launched to continuously apprehend and punish terrorists quickly.
