Aam Aadmi Clinics: 22 million patients treated in 881 clinics, ₹1,050 crore saved

Launched under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Aam Aadmi Clinics scheme has transformed Punjab’s healthcare system into a mass movement. These clinics have now become centers of trust and relief for the public.

As of October 2025, a total of 881 Aam Aadmi Clinics are operational in the state—530 in rural and 312 in urban areas. To date, more than 22 million people have been treated at these clinics, while over 8 million tests have been conducted free of charge. This has resulted in savings of approximately ₹1,050 crore for the public.

Each clinic offers 80 types of medicines and 38 diagnostic tests free of charge. On average, 70–80 patients visit each clinic daily for treatment. These clinics are now also providing specialized services for pregnant women and facilities such as anti-rabies injections.

The government has empowered CMOs and SMOs to procure medicines locally to ensure an uninterrupted supply.

The Chief Minister stated that work is underway to provide cashless treatment up to ₹10 lakh to every family under the ‘Chief Minister’s Health Scheme.’

Today, these clinics are not just medical centers, but a symbol of a new vision in which treatment, medicine, and respect—everything is free and available to all.
