Aam Aadmi Party Leaders to Hit Streets in Jalandhar Against ED Raids

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Jalandhar will hold a protest against the central government at Shastri Chowk on Sunday morning. Party leaders said that workers will take to the streets to protest the ongoing ED raids in Punjab. The protest will begin around 10:30 am.

Protest Against Sanjeev Arora’s Arrest

AAP leaders will also protest the arrest of Sanjeev Arora. The ED arrested him from his Chandigarh home on Saturday morning. The investigating agency alleges he is involved in a ₹100 crore GST scam and money laundering through Dubai.

AAP Leaders Allege: BJP Is Instigating Action

Jalandhar Urban District President Amritpal Singh alleged that the central government is trying to weaken the AAP in Punjab. He said that the ED is continuously taking action against party leaders and their close associates at the behest of the BJP.

He claimed that leaders were pressured into changing parties, and those who refused are now being targeted by investigative agencies.

ED also keeping an eye on Aman Arora’s close associates

Recent raids have been conducted at the premises of Punjab AAP chief Aman Arora’s close associates and business partners. According to sources, the ED has recovered several important documents and digital evidence during the investigation.

However, the AAP leadership claims this action is being taken out of political vendetta.

Police administration on alert

The police administration is also on alert in view of the protest at Shastri Chowk. Party workers claim that thousands of people will participate in this demonstration to save democracy.
