Amritsar: Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Giani Kuldeep Singh Gadgaj, has changed the date for the appearance of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs and leaders. They will now have to appear in person at the Akal Takht Sahib Secretariat on October 16th at 11 am, instead of October 15th, to present their explanations. New letters have been issued in this regard.
The date change comes in light of the Punjab bandh called on October 15th to protest the murder of Mansa anti-drug activist Parvinder Singh, a call made by his family.
This case involves AAP MLA Manvinder Singh Gyaspura from Payal in Ludhiana district. In this case, the Jathedar had summoned some MLAs and leaders associated with the Aam Aadmi Party to present their side of the story.

Inquiry Committee Meeting Also Postponed
Bagcha Singh, in-charge of the Secretariat of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, stated that the Inquiry Committee meeting was scheduled to be held at the Secretariat on October 15th. Parties concerned with various matters were invited to this meeting.
However, the meeting has been postponed for the time being on the orders of Jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gadgaj in support of the Punjab Bandh.
Next Meeting Date to Be Announced Later
According to Bagcha Singh, the date of the next Inquiry Committee meeting will be informed to the concerned parties later.
For now, the concerned Aam Aadmi Party MLAs and leaders will have to appear in person at the Secretariat of Sri Akal Takht Sahib on October 16th at 11 am to give their explanations.
