New Delhi: AAP Rajya Sabha candidates Sanjay Singh, Swati Maliwal and ND Gupta have been elected to Rajya sabha unopposed. The election of these candidates was sure as no other candidate filled their nomination.
It should be noted that AAP MP Sanjay Singh who is currently under arrest of ED in an alleged money laundering case related to liquor policy and ND Gupta have been reelected to Rajya Sabha. Swati Maliwal has been elected for the first time to Rajya Sabha and is the first woman MP of AAP in the house.
After the results, they received their certificates from Returning Officer Ashish Kundra, after they were elected unopposed.
