AAP Sarpanch Murder Case: Two shooters arrested from Chhattisgarh, seven nabbed so far

Punjab Police has achieved another major success in the murder case of Aam Aadmi Party Sarpanch Jarmal Singh in Amritsar. The police have now arrested two accused in this case. It is being told that both the shooters had fled to Raipur in Chhattisgarh after the murder of Jarmal Singh and were hiding with their relatives here.

During the investigation of the case, the police traced their location, which was found in Rishabh Apartment in Rajendra Nagar, after which the police raided here and arrested them.

According to police sources, the two shooters have been identified as Sukhraj and Karamveer Singh, who were produced in the court in Raipur, from where the Punjab Police obtained transit remand and left for Punjab.

“Punjab Police has arrested two accused from Raipur in the murder case of AAP Sarpanch Jharmal Singh, who was shot dead during a wedding in Amritsar on January 4. Investigation into the conspiracy and network of both suspects is ongoing,” said DSP Sanjay Singh of Raipur’s Crime Branch.

Let us tell you that on January 4, Sarpanch Jarmal Singh was shot dead in the head at a wedding function in Amritsar. The attackers were dressed as guests in coats and pants. They shot the Sarpanch in the head while he was eating. AAP MLA Sarwan Singh had also said, “It was the wedding of the sister of Sarpanch Shari of Amarkot. I was also at the wedding. I was in the hall, and Sarpanch Jarmal was sitting at a table eating food.”

The family said that the Sarpanch was constantly receiving threats from gangsters and ransom demands were made. The Sarpanch had also registered a case in this matter at Valtoha police station.

Gangsters Dony Bal and Prabh Dasuwal took responsibility

After the murder, a post went viral on social media in which some people took responsibility for the incident. The police are also investigating this post. After the murder, gangsters Doni Bal and Prabh Dasuwal posted a post on social media claiming responsibility for the murder of the sarpanch.
