Quick Rescue and Emergency Medical Care

According to officials, Police Constable Jitendra Vishnu Patil, posted at Tilak Nagar Police Station, was on duty in the casualty department on the night of May 25 when he was informed about the baby by a distressed young man identified as Vishnu Shriram Patel at around 9 p.m.

He rushed to the location and found a newborn male infant lying on the cold bathroom floor. Hospital nurses were called immediately, and with their assistance, the baby was rescued, cleaned, and shifted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Doctors later confirmed that timely intervention saved the child’s life and that he is currently in stable condition.

Police Investigation and Search for Mother

Preliminary investigations revealed no hospital records indicating any delivery during that period, leading authorities to suspect that an unidentified woman may have given birth inside the bathroom and abandoned the child before fleeing.

The Tilak Nagar Police have registered a case against an unknown woman and are reviewing CCTV footage from the hospital premises to trace her identity. The infant remains under medical supervision as the search continues.
