CJP Founder Abhijeet Dipke Says ‘This Is Just the Beginning’, Thanks Supporters and Critics After 37-Day Protest

New Delhi: A day after the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) called off its 37-day-long protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, founder Abhijeet Dipke released a video message thanking supporters and critics alike. Calling the movement a “huge victory” for the country’s youth, Dipke said the protest may have ended, but the party’s journey is only beginning.

The video comes after the Centre accepted the protesters’ key demands and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigned, prompting the CJP to end its agitation.

‘This Is Just the Beginning,’ Says Dipke

In the video shared on social media, Dipke said he was finally able to sleep peacefully after weeks of uncertainty during the protest.

“I would like to thank each and every supporter of the Cockroach Janata Party across the country,” he said, while also expressing gratitude to volunteers who remained at Jantar Mantar throughout the 37-day agitation. He added that the criticism received during the movement helped the organisation improve.

“This is just the beginning. The Cockroach Janata Party has a long way to go,” Dipke said, signalling that the movement would continue beyond the successful protest.

Supporters, Critics Both Acknowledged

Dipke also thanked those who criticised the movement, saying their feedback helped the party deliver on the promises made during its first nationwide campaign. The video has since gained significant traction on social media, with supporters describing it as a message of gratitude and determination following the end of the protest.

The CJP ended its protest after the government accepted its key demands related to education reforms, bringing to a close one of the country’s most high-profile youth-led agitations in recent years.
