Missile debris injures 12 in Abu Dhabi, 5 Indians hurt

At least 12 people were injured in Abu Dhabi after debris from intercepted missiles and drones fell in parts of the emirate, authorities confirmed. The incident occurred in the Ajban area after the UAE’s air defence systems successfully intercepted aerial threats, leading to falling debris on the ground.

Among the injured were five Indian nationals, along with several others of different nationalities. The injuries were reported to be mostly minor to moderate, though at least one individual sustained serious injury.

Air defence interception led to falling debris

Officials stated that the incident took place after the country’s defence systems intercepted incoming missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles. While the interception prevented major damage, fragments of the destroyed projectiles fell in civilian areas, causing injuries and panic.
