Accident in Ambala: Schoolchildren’s Auto-rickshaw overturns while trying to avoid an activa; six students injured

A major accident occurred on Saturday morning near the Circuit House located within the Ambala Cantonment area. An auto-rickshaw transporting children to school lost control and overturned. Six schoolchildren traveling in the auto sustained injuries in this accident and were immediately admitted to the Civil Hospital in the Cantonment.

The accident took place around 7:30 AM, when the auto driver, Anil, was transporting the children from Defense Colony to their school. As the auto approached the Circuit House within the military zone, a woman suddenly appeared in front of it, riding an Activa scooter. The driver stated that in an attempt to avoid hitting the woman, he swerved the auto abruptly; this caused the vehicle to lose its balance and overturn on the road.

Injured Children Are Students of Mickey Model School
All the children injured in the accident are students of Mickey Model Senior Secondary School in Ambala Cantonment. The injured have been identified as students ranging from the 4th to the 8th grade, including Vihaan, Surbhi, Akash, Chahat, Sahil, and Payal.

With the assistance of passersby, the children were immediately rushed to the Civil Hospital in Ambala Cantonment. According to the doctors, all the children are currently undergoing treatment, and their condition is stable. Upon receiving news of the incident, the children’s family members, as well as teachers from the school, also arrived at the hospital.
