Accident due to dense fog: Truck-buses collide on Jalandhar-Ludhiana highway

Due to dense fog in Punjab, visibility on the roads is almost non-existent. Due to this, motorists and people are facing a lot of trouble on the roads. Not only this, but terrible road accidents are also happening due to dense fog.

Similarly, due to fog, a major road accident took place on the Jalandhar-Ludhiana highway near Indian Oil Depot, behind PAP Chowk, at around 7 am on Monday. Two buses collided with a truck while boarding the flyover. After the accident, both the buses and the truck were damaged in the middle of the road, which disrupted traffic for brief period of time.

According to the information received, the truck driver carrying the load from the Indian Oil Depot was boarding the flyover. Due to fog, the driver of the Punjab Roadways Jalandhar Depot-1 bus coming from behind could not estimate the truck properly, and the bus collided with the truck.

Immediately after this, the Narwal Transport bus coming from behind also collided with the Roadways bus. There were not many passengers in the buses at the time of the accident. Two Punjab Roadways officials were injured in the accident and were admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
