Another farmer martyred, while going to join March at Shambhu border

A young farmer who was on his way to participate in the Shambhu border march died in a road accident near village Mansoor Dewa, Jira.

Chandigarh : A young farmer who was on his way to participate in the Shambhu border march died in a road accident near village Mansoor Dewa, Jira.

During the march to Delhi on the joint invitation of the Sanyukat Kisan Morcha Non-Political and Kisan Majdoor Morcha, the violent struggle between the borderers and farmers of Haryana and the forces of the central government continues. Due to which the movement of farmers and laborers from Punjab and different states of the country towards the borders is going on.

A Press note issued by both forums, Jagjit Singh Dallewal and Sarwan Singh Pandher informed that last night the trolley of farmers coming from village Mansoor Dewa, Jira towards Shambhu border suddenly met with a road accident. Young Gurjant Singh son of Nachtar Singh died on the spot.

He said that in this hour of sorrow, all organizations of the front express their sympathy with the family of Shaheed Gurjant Singh and it is demanded that a member of the family should be given a government job and a compensation of 5 lakh rupees. He said that so far more than half a dozen martyrdoms have taken place during the movement, for which the central government is responsible.

He said that in the case of Shaheed Shubkaran Singh, we warn the Punjab government to file a case against the guilty officials as soon as possible. He said that both the forums take the pledge that the sacrifices of the martyrs will not be allowed to go unnoticed and the struggle against the central government will continue for the welfare of every section including the farmers.
