Three storey building collapse in Sarojini Nagar Uttar Pradesh, 1 dead, 15 evacuated, several trapped yet

Lucknow: A three-storey building has collapsed in Transport Nagar in Lucknow. It is being learnt that many workers are feared trapped under the debris. The building housed a pharmaceutical company’s warehouse and suddenly it collapsed today evening. DM Lucknow Suryapal Gangwar said that 13 people have evacuated.  He said that, the death of one person.

DM Lucknow Suryapal Gangwar said that 13 people have evacuated.  He said that, the death of one person is reported and one more person is feared to be trapped yet.

After receiving the information the police from Sarojni Nagar police station as well as fire brigade reached the spot and the rescue operation has also initiated. Sources told that a truck is also buried under the debris.
Taking cognizance of the incident, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also instructed the district administration officials, SDRF and NDRF teams to reach the spot and expedite the relief work and immediately take the injured to the hospital for proper treatment. Efforts are on to locate and save those trapped. It is being learned that teams of SDRF and NDRF have also reached the spot.
