Phagwara (Punjab) : On the Jalandhar-Ludhiana highway, near Goraya, a terrible accident occurred when five vehicles collided with each other. A car hit the rear of a Tata Harrier vehicle, and the Tata Harrier ended up on its bonnet. The accident was caused by a dog coming onto the highway.
To avoid hitting the dog, the driver of the Tata Harrier applied the brakes suddenly, which led to the other vehicles colliding with each other from behind. Eyewitnesses say that people gathered at the scene of the accident, but there is no information about anyone being seriously injured. The car passengers suffered minor injuries. After the vehicles collided on the highway, there was a long traffic jam.
People got out of their cars to help. Some people informed the highway patrol and the police. As soon as the police received the information, they reached the spot and moved the vehicles to the side of the road, clearing the traffic jam.
