Boiler exploded in rubber factory Ludhiana, one died

Ludhiana : One worker died while another injured after a boiler exploded in a rubber factory in Jaspal Bangar area on Wednesday late night.
The victim has been identified as Jagdish Sharma (40) of Karamjeet Nagar while the one who is injured has been identified has Kundan.

Both were working near the boiler in Amrit Rubber factory and suddenly boiler exploded during the late night hours and Jagdish died on the spot.
According to Jagdish’son Raj Kumar his father was working in this factory for past five years. He said that he learnt about the incident after a woman turned up at their house and informed that a fire has broken out in the factory and asked us to rush to the factory.

“When we reached the unit, my father was already dead and later after enquiring from fellow workers it was learnt that a boiler had exploded in the unit and he was rushed to a private hospital,” he said.
He added that on labour day his father was forced to work in the unit and he demanded action against the unit owner.
After receiving the alert the police from Sahnewal police station also reached the spot and initiated investigation into the matter.
