Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa expresses grief over the death of a youth during the farmers’ movement

Chandigarh : President of Shiromani Akali (United) S. Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa expressed deep grief over the death of a young man during  firing by the Haryana Police in farmers’ protest and said that this action by the Haryana Police is unacceptable. He said that this is a cowardly act of firing on unarmed farmers. Which cannot be tolerated at any cost.

Dhindsa said that the death of 21-year-old Shubhkaran and the injury of other farmers during the incident at Khanauri border is extremely sad. Dhindsa further said that the farmers of Punjab and the country are struggling for their rightful demands. The government should listen to them and accept their demands.

He said that the Shiromani Akali Dal (United) stands with the farmers in this difficult time. Dhindsa said that the farmers want to go to the capital of the country with their demands, why Haryana police is creating problems with them. Dhindsa said that the agitating farmers are the breadwinners of the country and they should not be treated like terrorists.
