UP passenger bus with 40 aboard plunges into Marsyangdi river in Nepal

Kathmandu: In a tragic incident, a UP bus plunged into a river in Nepal. The Indian bus had gone to Nepal from Gorakhpur. The accident happened while going from Kathmandu to Pokhara. According to initial information, there were 40 passengers in the bus. The rescue teams have reached the spot. Passengers are being rescued. The death toll is not known yet at this point of the moment.

The accident happened at 11.30 am in Tanahun district. Here the bus went out of control and fell into the Marsyangdi River.

“The bus bearing number plate UP FT 7623 plunged into the river and is lying on the bank of the river,” DSP Deepkumar Raya from the District Police Office Tanahun confirmed to ANI over phone. As per the official, the bus was en route to Kathmandu from Pokhara.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Relief Commissioner said, “Regarding the Nepal incident We are establishing contact to find out if any person from Uttar Pradesh was on the bus.” Further details are awaited in the incident. In July this year, 65 people on board two buses were swept into a swollen river Trishuli in Nepal.
