Horrific road accident in Mukerian, two children died on spot, parents injured

Two children died on the spot, and three others were seriously injured when a car they were travelling in crashed into a tree near the bus stop in Milwan town, 13 km from Mukerian on the Jalandhar-Pathankot National Highway.

Giving information, Amit Sharma, a relative of the victim’s family, said that Ankit Sharma, his wife Aarti Sharma and their two young children, daughter and son, were going to their home in Pathankot from Ludhiana.

As soon as they crossed the Mansar toll plaza and reached near Milwan town (Himachal), their car lost control and crashed into a tree on the roadside, due to which both the children died on the spot.

Ankit Sharma, his wife Aarti and driver Pawan Kumar, son of Ram Kumar, a resident of Delhi, were seriously injured in the accident. The people who gathered at the spot immediately rushed them to the Mukerian Civil Hospital, from where the doctors referred Ankit Sharma and his wife, Aarti Sharma, to the hospital, considering their serious condition.

The driver is undergoing treatment at the hospital.
