Accident on Phillaur road: Over speeding tractor collides with tempo traveler

An overspeeding tractor trolley collided with a tempo travellor full of passengers near SICO Palace on the Apra-Phillaur main road. Dimpy, the driver of the tempo travellor, said that he was going from Phillaur to Apra with passengers in vehicle numbered PB 01 B 0385. Suddenly, near SICO Palace, a high-speed tractor from Apra collided with a truck PB 08A Q 7585 of Gurteg Rice Mill and then lost control and collided with the tempo travellor.

The tractor was so fast that after the collision, it was split into two parts and one side of the tempo travellor was badly damaged. The passengers suffered minor injuries in the accident but no major loss of life was reported.

It is worth noting that overspeeding, overloaded vehicle drivers are seen openly violating traffic rules and some incidents occur on this road due to these vehicles.

The people of the area demanded from the administration that legal action should be taken against these vehicle drivers so that such incidents which happen every day do not happen.

Police post Appra in-charge Sukhdev Singh Thanedar said that no written complaint has been received and if any complaint is received, appropriate action will be taken.
