Major Action by Police and BSF in Amritsar: 980 Grams of Heroin Recovered from Indo-Pak Border

In the Amritsar district of Punjab, the police of Bhindi Saidan Police Station, in collaboration with the Border Security Force (BSF), conducted a joint operation against drug trafficking, resulting in the recovery of 980 grams of heroin.

This operation was carried out in an area adjacent to the India-Pakistan border—a region where instances of smuggling have frequently been reported in the past.

According to police officials, they received a confidential tip-off indicating that certain smugglers were attempting to transport a consignment of narcotics across the border. Acting on this intelligence, a team from the Bhindi Saidan Police Station, along with BSF personnel, launched a joint search operation in the area. During the search, 980 grams of heroin were recovered from a suspicious location.

International Market Value of 980 Grams of Heroin Estimated in the Crores

The recovered heroin is estimated to be worth crores of rupees in the international market. While no arrests have been confirmed in connection with this case so far, the police have stated that they will soon identify and apprehend the individuals linked to this smuggling network.
