Jalandhar: Late Thursday night, robbers stopped a young man riding an Activa near a dirty drain on Leather Complex Road in Jalandhar. When the young man resisted, the robbers attacked him with a sharp weapon.

The young man fell unconscious on the road, after which the robbers fled with the cash from his pocket.

Victim Found Unconscious on Road

After the robbery, people gathered around the young man, finding him lying unconscious on the road. They immediately informed the Leather Complex police station, a sub-outpost of the Basti Bawa Khel police station. Upon receiving the information, police arrived at the scene and began investigating the matter.

Robbers beat up Activa driver

Rahul, a resident of Leather Complex, said he was standing outside his house with his friend when a young man passing by informed them that three or four robbers were assaulting and robbing an Activa driver. Rahul raised an alarm, after which the robbers fled the scene, leaving behind an empty purse.

Robbers Escape in Darkness

The robbers took advantage of the darkness to escape.

According to Rahul, the robbers managed to escape due to the darkness. When he reached the Activa, the young man was lying unconscious and bleeding from his head. He informed the police at the relevant police station.

Police Investigation Underway

The injured young man was admitted to the hospital.

The Assistant Sub-Inspector of the Leather Complex Police Station, who arrived at the scene, stated that the injured youth has been admitted to the hospital for treatment. His team is investigating the case and further action will be taken based on the statements of the victim’s family.
