New Delhi: Afghanistan’s Public Health Minister, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, arrived in India on his first official visit on Tuesday to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation in the health sector.
India’s Continued Health Support to Afghanistan
The Ministry of External Affairs welcomed him, saying the visit reflects India’s continued support to Afghanistan’s health system. In recent days, India has sent thousands of influenza and meningitis vaccines and 73 tons of life-saving medicines and essential supplies to Kabul.
Increase in Ministerial Contacts
This is the third ministerial visit from Afghanistan to India in recent weeks. Earlier, Industry and Commerce Minister Nooruddin Azizi met with External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar in New Delhi to discuss enhancing trade, connectivity, and people-to-people contacts.
