DTP Bulldozer Action in Agroha: Illegal Colony Roads Dug Up, Plot Foundations Demolished

Hisar: The District Town Planner (DTP) department carried out a major demolition drive against illegal colonies in Agroha, Hisar, on Tuesday. The nearly five-hour operation targeted several colonies being developed without the required approvals, including Agrasen Colony and Ganesh Colony along the Agroha-Bhuna Road.

During the action, JCB machines dug up roads constructed inside the colonies and demolished plots where foundations had already been laid.

Five-hour demolition drive in Agroha

The operation was conducted under the leadership of District Town Planner Dinesh Kumar and Junior Engineer Hari Mohan. Duty Magistrate and SDO Manik were also present during the drive.

The use of JCB machines to dismantle the road network and plot layouts created a stir among developers of the unauthorised colonies.

Officials demolished the foundations and other construction work found at the sites as part of the action against unauthorised development.

DTP warns people against buying illegal colony plots

DTP Dinesh Kumar appealed to people to exercise caution before investing their hard-earned money in plots or properties in unauthorised colonies.

He advised prospective buyers to verify whether a colony is authorised, unauthorised or regularised before purchasing a plot or starting construction.

People can obtain information about the legal status of specific colonies from the District Town Planner’s office.

Action against illegal colonies to continue

The DTP department said its drive against illegal colonies in Agroha will continue in the future.

Officials warned that construction in unauthorised colonies can attract action under the applicable rules and that illegal structures may be demolished.

The department urged residents to purchase plots or buildings only in authorised and regularised colonies.
